This beautiful charismatic stallion is a "Miracle Horse".
In 2006, he was purchased by Sherry Kipikasa,
a long-time admirer, and now good friend. |
Due to a pasture injury that nearly took his life at age two
and resulted in a fused right hock,"Luke" was not ridden until age 10
by his trainers and then half-owners, Shannon and Wade Betts.
At age 13 they started schooling him dressage .
2007 was his first year showing,
and he was entered in Second Level tests.
He was shown by his lifetime rider, Shannon.
This impressive partnership between these two special souls
earned the Farnam/Platform 2007 USEF Horse of the Year Reserve Champion
title in Morgan Dressage Second Level & Above;
AND Farnam/Platform USEF Horse of the Year Region 4 Champion.
Luke won the USDF All Breeds Award Open Competition
for 2nd level, earned his AMHA Bronze Medallion,
and the Reserve AMHA Open Competition Championship
in Dressage at 2nd Level.
His impressive season culminated in winning
the World Dressage Championship at 2nd Level
at the Grand National Morgan Show in OKC!
