Quasar's Progeny
Here are just some of the wonderful Morgans
that we are fortunate to have bred ~ both from our mares
and those bred by some obviously discerning Quasar admirers.
We hope this page will stimulate some new photo additions
from owners who have perhaps not sent any in a while.
If you do not see your Quasar baby on this page,
it is because you need to send new photos and info.
We will be delighted to include it.
We are so proud of these Morgans, and their obvious consistencies.
That is a wonderful tribute to the careful planning and
selective breeding of many Farms of the past ~ most notably Lyonhil;
but also Wind-Crest, Green Meads, Elm Hill and Lippitt.

RAYNYDAY FLIRTATION
Dam:  Scandias Helene
F 1985
"Flirt" was a little princess as a baby. Always willing to give 100%,
but not without negotiation. From a family of showy Morgans
ho could trot, Flirt was always amazing to watch at liberty.
Last we knew, she was living a happy life in MI
with her full brother Eclipse.
She had one foal for her devoted owners, a gelding.

RAYNYDAY SEBASTIAN
Dam: Shadygrove Serenade
F 1985
16 hand gelding, Sebastian has been a Suitability, Dressage
and CT Champion, and the best friend of Jocelyn Robinson
of Yellow Springs OH, most of his life.
He loves the trails in Yellow Springs OH where he lives.
Jocelyn teaches natural horsemanship with him, and most of the time
rides him bareback with a leadrope attached to his halter.

RAYNYDAY ECLIPSE
Dam: Scandias Helene
F 1986

Sold to the Heards of MI with his sister Flirt,
"Clipper" was a carriage pleasure horse for his owners for many years.

We assume he is still alive and happy.

RAYNYDAY CHELSEA
Dam : CPF Fancy Treat
F 1987
Chelsea was the Reserve Young Horse Champion
in the Open Breeder's Class at the 1988 Cincinnati Dressage Show,
and Morgan Gold Cup Champion Walk-Trot Dressage in 1991.
Since then, she has been retired to trail horse and family member,
and has had one crossbred foal by a Trakhener.
She has always been sane and affectionate ,
and is a mare we love to remember.

RAYNYDAY PATRICIAN LADY
Dam : Scandias Helene
F 1990

In 1998, with great pride and yet
some regret we sold her to Whitney Childs and and her family,
and she has been a wonderful mount and broodmare for them
through the years. Whit is now competing seriously in dressage
with Lady's son, WRC Forever True Phileo.
Lady has just been sold to Lindsay Naas of AZ to be her
new family member. Lindsay has the nice gelding
Baywind On Fire, and Lady will make an extra horse for
friends and family to ride. Congratulations Lindsay!

JESSIE'S INDIANA BEY
Dam: Devan Dahlia
F 1992
Outstanding pony club and CT mount
for his owner/rider throughout her teenage years.
They won many ribbons and  formed a partnership
that will last his lifetime.
Indy is now enjoying a well-earned retirement.

RAYNYDAY AURORA B
Dam: Ragtime Abacadabra
F 1998
"Flounce" was just an adorable foal, and kept us entranced
and entertained all her years with us.
Originally we planned to keep her for our third and fourth generations,
but recently realized that we may not be able
to provide her with a lifetime home.
So we offered her for sale to a loving special home,
and we found that for her in New Mexico.
She has become the partner for Marian Hubbard,
and we hope she will enjoy her personality
and cheery outlook as much as we have.
Flounce had two special foals for us,
and Marian intends to breed her as well.

RAYNYDAY CLARION
Dam: KVA Enchanted Eve
F 2000
This boy was named "Clarion" because when he was born
he rolled up on his chest and let out a huge whinny,
which all the Morgans in the barn answered.
It felt really special at the time,
and we knew he had named himself.
He and his look-alike half brother, Fame
live happily together in northern OH.

RAYNYDAY CYCLONE
Dam: Raynyday Capricciosa
F 2000
"Clancy" has been special since the the day he was born,
providing us with hours of affection and entertainment.
He was broke to ride by our 14 yr old nephew Matthew,
and together they roamed the trails in the beautiful
Daniel Boone National Forest.
Now he lives in Belgium, and we hear that he is a great
Breed Ambassador for his new owner, Expat Morgans.

TAMERA DIAMOND QUASAR
Dam  Fletcher Fancy Quest

RAYNYDAY FAIRYTALE FANCY
Dam: Raynyday Capricciosa
F2002
This mare is owned by a family in Mississippi, and they love her dearly.
We have no real news, as we have lost touch with her owner.

WRP PEACE EVERLASTING
Dam: Heathermoor Faith
F 2003
Quasar's first cross with a pure Lippitt mare.
We think it was a good nick.
This youngster was under saddle doing well,
and the last we heard he was for sale.
Peace would make a nice sport prospect or trail partner.

HEYDAY SINGULARITY

Bred by Polly and Nina Quinn
Heyday Morgans

RAYNYDAY ROMANCE
Dam: Raynyday Capricciosa

with love and the best of care.
They also make a pretty pair.

MERRIWOLD FABIEN
Dam: UVM Rarity
F 2003
This outstanding nearly black gelding is out of a beautiful mare, owned by Merriewold Morgans. The Ben Don/Govt cross has always been excellent, and Fabien is no exception. Fabien is starting a career in reining ~ and showing a definite aptitude for it!  News from his breeder: "We are in the middle of the Morgan Medallion regional show and Fabien did really well in his debut reining class! Still has work to do but we are all proud!"

WRC QUASAR QUINZEL
Dam: LR Amie Jacquelynn
F 2003
Typey, sweet and talented gelding. Easy going and happy.
Photos show him at nearly two years.
Unfortunately, we have no recent ones to share.

SCANDIAS RAYNYDAY DUET
Dam: Scandias Silent Serenade
F 2004
Probably Quasar's most flashy filly. This athlete is being schooled
in dressage, and with her movement and markings
she is sure to attract attention and admiration.
Her amateur owner, Lurleen Smith is quite proud of her,
and we are too! Duet has a bright future, and a great home.

___________________________________________________________________
RAYNYDAY REMINGTON
Dam: Bethesda Sally Forth
F 2004
Remington is maturing into an impressive powerful gelding,
yet he is a laid-back gentle soul with great affection and curiosity.
He is to be the dressage mount for Sherry Kipikasa when
his half brother Grand Finale is retired.
Remington will mature to at least 16H, and shows great potential
to follow in his World Champion brother's hoofsteps.

RAYNYDAY GIBSON GIRL
Dam: Sugarlane Natalia
F 2004
This filly is maturing into a handsome mare.
We are delighted to report that she is the prized posession
of the Ward family, and will be Meghan Ward's friend
and competition partner for many show seasons to come.
She has a wonderful home in MI, and is getting along
quite well with her new family and herd.

BLYTHEWOOD POLARIS
Dam: Blythewood Polly Vermont
F 2005
Bred by Kathy and Stuart Newcomb
Blythewood Farm
This lovely mare was a carefully planned cross
of Quasar to a daughterof their outstanding and typey
carriage stallion, Blythewood Vermont Legend.
As you can see, it is a good nick.

RAYNYDAY  SUPERSTITION
Dam: Ragtime Abacadabra
F 2005
"Merlin" has been an exceptional individual since
the day he was born. He is very calm and gentle,
very affectionate, especially to our visitors who are children.
His calm demeanor is very appealing, yet he can flag
and blow when playing with his mates in the pasture.
He is now owned by Debbie Gunset of NY,
and is in training with Jackie Ross.

___________________________________________________________________
MERRIEWOLD HANAH
Dam: Moonset's Reflection
F 2005
Bred by Diana Wold
Merriewold Morgans
This pretty mare was the result of a carefully planned
return breeding to Quasar. We are honored that Diana chose
to breed to Quasar for another foal, and we are very
proud of what he and her mares produced for her.
Hanah and her paternal brother Fabien are exceptional Morgans.

RAYNYDAY PINBALL WIZARD
Dam:  Ragtime Abacadabra
F 2006
This colt was a source of many hours of amusement for us.
He fancies himself a clown, and is very athletic and playful,
as you can see in the photos below. He is devoted to his
full brother Merlin, and they even managed to sell themselves
to the same owner, so they can continue their relationship.
Pinball has gone to live with Debbie Gunset in NY,
and is stabled with Merlin at Jackie Ross's farm.

KIPIKASA'S WILD CENTAURUS
Dam: THK Willy Anna Commando
F: 2006
Bred by Sherry Lynn Kipikasa
Kipikasa Morgans
We knew from the outset that this would be an elegant foal.
With Treble's Willy Wild and Tug Hill Commando in her pedigree,
the cross of "Anna Marie" with Quasar's intense Ben Don
blood would produce beauty, type and athletic ability.
This outstanding colt didn't disappoint us.
Sherry reports that he is growing up to be the image of his sire,
and she is already thinking of him as her Junior Stallion.

RAYNYDAY FINAL SALUTE
Dam: Ragtime Abacadabra
F 2007
Can you see from the look in this colt's eyes
that life is one big game and humans are the most interesting
beings he has ever met? He is the last in a line of colts who
might have been triplets, except for the fact that they were all
born a year apart. "Nick" has his brother Merlin's sweet
disposition and brother Pinball's sense of humor.
We are proud to announce that Lindsay R. Naas has purchased
Nick to be her future dressage partner.
We wish them the best of luck for many future
adventures and successes!
